Shatavari

Shatavari is a rejuvenating herb known for its ability to balance the production of female hormones. It is said to cool the body while nourishing and strengthening the tissue. Shatavari also helps to strengthen the immune system, purify blood, stimulate digestion and soothe inflammation. It is also traditionally used to alleviate anxiety and insomnia, due to its calming and slightly sedative effect.
Leaves of the plant are used to treat asthma and bronchitis. Shatavari is a good tranquilizer, a natural memory stimulant, and a powerful brain tonic. To prepare a tea, infuse one teaspoon of Shatavari powder with 1 cup of boiling water. Let steep for 5 to 7 minutes before straining and drinking. Shatavari powder can also be added to smoothies for a hidden immunity boost.
